What about the rest of you? My only complaint is that some of the guitar parts sound too trebley and weak. On the demo version it sounds crisper and heavier. It's pretty much comes down the the production. But the vocals and arrangement of the haunt of roulette dares demo De-loused hahnt are much better.
I prefer the demos to the album. Though the original is always fun to listen to. Discipline is a means to an end, not an end itself. Arts, music, writing, coffee, you, me, cash, slash, hash, mash and other words that rhyme. There are parts of each I like. Obviously ditc has better studio quality but there is a part in the bridge which I really like in the early version where Cedric yells before the eoulette really rocks. That was the first ever Mars Volta song I heard, too.
Also my favorite version of Roulette Dares. I like the XFM session. I love the part near the end where Cedric sings the really high part, sounds o 'Don't you feel alive.? Yeah i know what u are talking about man, i love listening to both eat the sun and cicatriz especially one after the other to take in how they have prgressed and stuff D IMO it's a million times better, they play with so much energy it feels like they're just gonna fall apart or explode or whatever, but they keep going.
I especially love guitarising at the end, where Omar is making all these weird sounds, and Cedric's singing sounds all ethereal. Back to The Mars Volta. Change Theme Light IP.
