Beginner’s Guide to Having Fun at a Casino

Know your limits

It’s common knowledge that the odds are heavily stacked in the house’s favor. So don’t step foot in a casino without knowing the exact amount you’re willing to spend, and the mindset that you probably won’t be getting it back.

Understanding table limits is also key to not blowing your budget immediately. Poker bluffing short tip from Negreanu

Bluffing is like telling a story. You have got to make sure when you’re telling a story you have got your facts set up. So think about it in a real-life situation: you tell your wife that you just came from the golf course, meanwhile, you’re wearing your suit. Doesn’t add up, right? And so with a poker hand you have to make sure that the story you’re telling is believable, that you could actually have the hand you’re pretending to have. The other key consideration in terms of when to do it: you have to pick the right people. If you know a guy thinks you’re a bluffer – don’t bluff him! Don’t. Ever. Because he is just going to call you with anything. The ones you go after are the people who are more professional, who think about the game more. If someone doesn’t think about the game they’re not smart enough to be bluffed. Pick your opponents well and tell a story that’s believable. Continue reading “Poker bluffing short tip from Negreanu”
